0Absolutely delighted with my purchase of this Field Coat. Excellent quality and fit. Bought in the end of year Sale so an absolute bargain. Bought for use during the late Winter and early Spring plus use during our usually inclement Summers. Lightweight and durable ideal for wet weather.
There are a lot of things to like about this jacket. It many ways it is an ideal lightweight jacket for both casual walks in the country and about town. The overall quality is really excellent and I nearly gave it 5 stars, but I've knocked off a star because it is let down by a couple of things. I do so hope someone from Peter Christian reads this because with some small changes this would be one of my favourite jackets. First, a minor thing, another inside pocket would be really handy, but the second, in my opinion, really lets the jacket down. The zipped chest pockets are quite simply awful in every way. They are too small to be useful and to make matters worse the zips are horizontal, making them nigh on impossible to use. Why oh why, did the designer not make these pockets larger and use vertical zips so the user can actually get things in and out. I cannot believe that anyone using the jacket for any length of time would be happy with those pockets. They are an exercise in frustration. As it is I have a jacket that ticks all the boxes until I come to use the chest pockets and then I am let down with an almighty thud.
Bought on sale, and did well in heavy deluge.
Great product for the rain or wind. Light weight for warmer weather but great for layering over a thicker jumper when it's colder.
I returned it because the sleeves were puckered in places due to poor stitching.
Perfect fit couldn't ask for more.
