Three of the four pockets are very tightly stitched (not with tailor's tacks or basting stitches) and with the same colour thread as the rest of the garment. It would have been reassuring to have a note with the garment saying that the pocket stitching could be unpicked. You'll need a proper stitch unpicker. Dont attempt this with scissors. The button holes were properly stitched but not well finished. Shaggy bits of cotton had to be removed with fine scissors and great care. Once all that was attended to, the waistcoat was fine.
